Stereotypes

Stereotypes:
 
  1. how are stereotypes an ordering process? This helps the society in a particular place in the world to understand different groups of people. These are particular useful for diverse places like London.
  2. How are stereotypes a short cut? "short cuts" are simplifications on a certain place or group of people.
  3. How are stereotypes are a way to referring to the world? This is a way of people to construct the social world and understand certain groups of people we don't know much about. Media helps portraying stereotypes for a certain groups of people, most of the time this is in a negative way.
  4. how are stereotypes used to naturalise power? stereotypes are not particularly true or false but stereotypes are set by ideological values that have been passed on through generations.
